One of the hardest trophies to win in the history of sports. The Lombardi Trophy. 32 NFL teams compete each year for a chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. In this blog I will outline 4 teams I think have a legitimate shot at the highly sought after Superbowl championship, and end with my prediction.

The Packers have found immense success with the hiring of head coach Matt LeFleur at the beginning of the 2019 season. He has a regular season record of 17-4. This record is one of the best amongst new head coaches in history. Aaron Rodgers is a former NFL MVP, and Superbowl winner who is amongst the best players in the NFL. The Green Bay offense has been amazing this season scoring a total of 162 points led by their fantasy football hero running back Aaron Jones. The one aspect of Green Bay's team that worries me is their lack of worthy opponents. Sure, the Packers are 4-1, but they just experienced their first loss this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are also amongst the best in the league. Check out the box score here. Prior to the Buccaneers, Green Bay played some bad teams and torched their defences just like a good team should do. Overall, I have not seen enough competition against the Green Bay Packers to deem them the future Superbowl winners. Also check out the rest of the Packers' remaining schedule.

Tom Brady left New England the place he had called home for the past 20 seasons. TWENTY. How can one man sustain this level of play for over two decades? I don't have an answer for you, but Tom Brady is doing it. Tom Brady is arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, and recently joined Bruce Arians' air raid offence and is looking for his tenth Superbowl appearance and seventh Superbowl win. Not only do the Bucs have the G.O.A.T, they have a great young defence with Devin White, focal point, at linebacker. White adds speed, and brains to the Buc's defence. Tampa Bay has a record of 4-2, but are just hitting their stride now. Here is an article outlining what you can expect from Tampa Bay in week 7. They are a well rounded team, but I don't think they have what it takes to defeat other teams in their respective conference for a trip to the Superbowl. This team will not win the superbowl.

The Steelers have built one of the strongest and built to last defences in the whole league. Steelers fans should be excited about the young core they have on defence in Minkah Fitzpatrick (safety), Devin Bush (linebacker), and Bud Dupree (linebacker). With a defence oriented coach (Mike Tomlin) who has won a Superbowl the steelers are serious contenders this year. The receiving corps is hitting stride recently with the utilization of Canadian born Chace Claypool. Claypool racked up a total of 5 touchdowns in one game and 110 receiving yards. Roethlisberger's (QB) health and the Steelers' lack of back up quarterback is the reason I do not have the Pittsburgh Steelers winning the Superbowl this year.

Patrick Mahomes is the new face of the league with a league MVP, Superbowl MVP and a Lombardi trophy under his best in his second year as a starting quarterback. His play making ability is absolutely incredible and his ability to sling the ball 70 yards down the field to a top 5 wide receiver in Tyreek Hill. The Chiefs just made an acquisition of a new RB. Le'Veon Bell is the newly acquired RB and is coming off a less than stellar season with the worst team in the league. If Bell is incorprated properly into the Chief's offence he will be a difference maker and could propel them to be repeat champions. I think the Chiefs will make the Superbowl this season, but will ultimately lose to the next team in this blog.

The Seattle Seahawks are my pick to win the 2020 Superbowl and hoist the legendary Lombardi Trophy. I could go on and on about how amazing Russell Wilson is (which he is, I love Russ), but I am going to focus on what they need to vault themselves to the Superbowl. Better defence. The defence in Seattle has been less than stellar and their all-pro safety, Jamal Adams, is injured and they are getting beat over the top. I think the Seahawks need to trade for a cornerback and outside linebacker to strengthen their defence and ultimately be the best team in the league. They are currently 5-0 and that is much due to the efforts of russell Wilson. Wilson keeps this team alive and in the game. The emergence of DK Metcalf at wide receiver has been a great asset for the Seahawks's offence. Overall, if the Seahawks can fix their defence before the trade deadline I think they will win the Superbowl.
